Wofford student relishes visit to Charles Lea Center on Journey of Hope

After nearly 50 days of cycling, Skyler Roberts was glad to be in familiar territory on Wednesday.

Roberts, a chemistry major at Wofford College, was one of 38 cyclists who stopped at the Charles Lea Center on the Journey of Hope. The 4,000-mile, cross-country ride raises money for people with disabilities as cyclists stop along the way.

“We had three different routes and ‘south’ route passes through Spartanburg, and that’s why I chose this one,” Roberts said.
