A Spring Break of Service

Written by Johnny Andrews
Manny Rosas Manny Rosas

Manny Rosas, Alpha Xi (St. John's) didn't go on a typical college student's spring break trip.

Instead, he had an amazing opportunity to spend time serving children and their families. Manny was one of six students who were chosen to represent St. John's on a trip to 'Give Kids the World,' a nonprofit resort for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. With the help of volunteers like Manny, the organization offers these children fun experiences to escape the stress of their every-day lives. Manny had a powerful experience during the trip and he plans to take what he learned back to his chapter.
