  • Derek Berger, Beta Xi (Central Michigan)

    Derek Berger is a 2003 initiate of the Beta Xi Chapter at Central Michigan University. As a student, he served his chapter as Historian and Archon. After graduating from Central Michigan he served on staff as a leadership consultant and then as the coordinator of chapter development, focusing on the growth of associate chapters. Currently Derek serves as the chapter advisor for the Iota Chi Chapter at Ball State University.

  • Basil Lyberg, Chief Executive Officer of The Ability Experience

    During 2015, Basil Lyberg took over as Chief Executive Officer of The Ability Experience bringing his experience with the organization full circle. As an undergraduate at Central Michigan University, he was a member of the 1998 and 1999 Journey of Hope teams. He also served Beta Xi Chapter as vice archon and archon. He was in Order of Omega and served on the Interfraternity Council as the vice president of recruitment.

  • Tyler Lott Williams, Alpha (College of Charleston)

    Each year, one undergraduate member of Pi Kappa Phi is appointed by the National Council to serve as the council's student representative. At each meeting of the year, this student has the chance to provide the National Council with the views and opinions of the undergraduate population on a multitude of decisions made. This year, Tyler Williams, Alpha (College of Charleston), was selected. He recently sat down with Star & Lamp to discuss his new appointment to the position, as well as some of his thoughts on leadership.

    T.J. was initiated as a re-founding father of the Alpha Psi Chapter at Indiana University in 1987, and he worked on the fraternity staff from 1989-1991, first as assistant executive director of The Ability Experience, formerly Push America, then as the foundation's director of education.
